Returning afrer last years amazing show at 'Whiskey', & i must say i couldn't wait to get these guys back!
Debut album recently released & getting rave reviews here in the UK aswell as the USA.
Formed in the summer of 2009 the Del Rio Ramblers have made an immediate impact on audiences with their crowd pleasing and energy packed performances. Steeped in the tradition of 1940/50's honky tonk , country , hillbilly and rockabilly this UK band with their hard driving beat features fiddle , steel guitar , lead guitar , acoustic guitar, stand up bass and a charismatic lead vocal thats straight out of the honky tonks of rural America. These guys served their apprenticeship touring or supporting with original 1950's stars such as Frankie Miller Tommy Cash Billy Lee Riley Hard Rock Gunter Hayden Thompson Jack Earls and many many others. Songs include originals along with tracks made famous by the likes of Hank Williams Ray Price Skeets McDonald and other less famous artists.

July 22nd - THE GROOVE DIGGERS...
One of 'Whiskeys' favourite bands, takin' the stage for the third time here in Huddersfield! These guys give us nothing but authentic Rockin' set! About to release a second full-lenth album!
Tune in and turn on to the sound of The Groove Diggers. These guys are relentless in their aim to make music in the most authentic way possible. Real Raw Rockabilly! These guys are no Johnny-Come-Latelies either - they've been digging the scene for a good few years now and recognised that rockabilly music was moving away from the stripped-down sound and are here to set that right.

Released the great 'Gone With The Wind' album on Western Star in 2010 to rave reviews.

The Star Tones were formed in 2007, following our debut album "Embassy Sessions" on Foot Tapping Records. However, Rusti & Stewart go way, way back (longer than we'd like to admit) to the "Pre Tin Tax" age, playing in a band called "The Jumpin' Jax" during the early 80s. Success in the form of Fame without the Fortune came along for us when we formed Rusti Steel & the Tin Tax in 1986. After many albums, radio & TV work and extensive touring of Europe, Scandinavia & UK (in which we made so many great friends - it's so good to catch up with some of you on Facebook!), the Tin Tax finally split amicably around 1999/2000. After this, I formed "Check Crosby & his Red Hot Wranglers", a 6-piece Western Swing outfit. I really enjoyed playing purely roots music with this band but eventually wanted to play a more varied set, including Rockabilly, Rock'n'Roll & Blues .... and that is where Rusti Steel & the Star Tones were born. Things took off well for the Star Tones too and we're thankful to have played lots of Festivals & Weekenders and great gigs at great Rockin' venues where we've always been given a very warm reception and great response (thanks everybody for that!) and we're looking forward to plenty more already booked over the next couple of years. Check out our latest album on Western Star Records "Gone With The Wind" ... it's had some great reviews & radio play. Alan Wilson from Western Star did a fantastic job on producing this record and he made us feel so "at home" in his studio that we're very happy to be recording another album with him this year ... watch this space!
