Musivine provides up to 11 free web design templates to make your site fully functional and social with all the features you'd expect from any social network.

All you need to do is choose the template pages you want to use then style them as you please to suit your site design.

Alternatively, if you don't already have a website, you can easily build one from scratch with our free Website Builder, which bundles the templates together into a ready made site.

They content manage your site for free, allowing you to update it, post gig listings, pictures, blogs, etc. People can leave comments, send messages or even subscribe to your mailing list.

Your website will be an interconnected part of the Musivine network, yet at the same time it is still your own autonomous site over which you have full control.

It is a distributed social network for bands and artists to interact with their fans. Distributed in the sense that the profiles are actually on other websites, or, they can be on Musivine too, just like any other social network.

Because your website would be part of our network - which is fully searchable - people will find your site and visit as we link directly out to you, if you choose to export your profile.

The thing about promoting a website is that in order to get noticed on the internet, you need inbound links from other sites to yours, for search engines to rank it higher. It need not cost anything at all. Because our free templates provide the functionality, all you need is simple static XHTML pages. Hosting for these can be found from lots of places for free - it may for example come as part of an ISP package etc.

Likely you will want your own domain name - yourwebsite.com - but these are very cheap, from about £5 per year, and that will be your only cost.
